SMILE
The week leading up to your wedding day is stressful. You are pulled in so many directions and your todo list might seem never ending. When it comes time to get ready for your Rehearsal, you might not feel the happy emotions you were hoping for. On your way, take just 5 minutes to put a big, fat smile on your face and HOLD IT! I promise that after those five minutes you will feel much better. The muscles in your face will actually activate a steady drip of serotonin onto your brain and before too long, you will be able to smile without even trying!
Prep Your Family
There is a pretty good chance some of your family members might not “love” being photographed and might be less than enthusiastic about being seen front and center. If you share your excitement about the photographer and videographer you have hired with those people as often as you can BEFORE the wedding, and I mean as you are PLANNING, they will start to reprogram the way they think about being in photos or on camera. Their first thought might instead be of how happy they can make you by being cooperative and going with the flow. Show them your visual artist’s portfolio and don’t be shy about telling them the investment you are making to make sure the memories you have about your special day are perfect!
Plan to be late
More times than not, the preparations for your wedding day can go awry. It isn’t always one particular reason or anyone’s fault, it just happens. Pad your wedding day timeline with short breaks for touching up make-up, using the restroom and even taking a little time for quiet and calm. If you have those little breaks plotted into your timeline, then if things are running a little behind, you can use those pockets to get caught up.
